Architectural example
* Bodegas Ysios- Laguardia Spain
* Architect- Santiago Calatrava
Drawing inspiration from the Cantabrian Mountains, Santiago Calatrava has in no way created what could be considered a typical factory/warehouse space. He has created a dynamic and identifiable symbol that winemakers Bodegas & Bebidas group can use right across their brand. Caltrava has generated drama in three dimensions by his choice of a polymorphic form in the structure of the roof. This is an ongoing theme in his work whereby he succefully creates curved structures using straight elements. His choice of cedar cladding helps ground the building in the landscape aswell as adding to the sense of independence and movement described by the reflective aluminium in the radical geometric roof.
